Privacy Policy

Last updated 9 September 2026

Steony Ltd (“we”) operates the LiveryYardPro app and this website. This policy explains what we hold, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to be read rather than to be defensible, and if anything in it is unclear, email info@liveryyardpro.co.uk and we will explain it.

This website

The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com and Google sees your IP address as part of that. Our web host keeps standard server logs — IP address, page requested, time, browser — for security and diagnostics.

If you use the contact form we receive the name, email address, yard name and message you type, and we keep them for as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry and to hold the resulting conversation.

The app

What we hold about you

  • Your email address and an encrypted password, so you can sign in.
  • Your display name, so entries you make carry your name for the rest of the yard.
  • The yard you created or joined, and its name, address and contact details.
  • What you log: care entries, sessions, health records, notes and any photos you attach.
  • Optionally, a device token so we can send you notifications. Turn notifications off and it is removed.

Horses and their owners

The horses on your yard's list belong to their owners, not to your yard. They reach you because the owner redeemed a code and chose to share them, and they choose which parts of the record you can see. Access is enforced per row on the server: a locked area returns nothing at all rather than being hidden in the app.

An owner can withdraw that sharing at any time from their own app. Entries your yard made while it was shared remain part of the horse's history with its owner, because they are a record of care that happened.

Location

Location is only used while you are recording a hack, cross-country ride, competition or day hunting, and only to draw the route for that session. Arena activities never start location at all. Nothing is tracked in the background outside a session you started.

Who else sees it

We do not sell anything and we do not share your information for advertising. We use a small number of processors to run the service: a cloud database and authentication provider, a transactional email provider for sign-in and reset emails, push notification services from Apple and Google, and our web host. Each holds what it needs to do its job and nothing else.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Email info@liveryyardpro.co.uk from the address on your account. We will confirm it is you, act within one month, and tell you when it is done.

If you are not happy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Keeping it

We keep your account and yard records while the account is active. Delete your account and we remove your personal data; records that belong to a horse stay with that horse's owner. Server logs are kept for a short period and then rotated away.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and if the change is significant we will tell you in the app rather than relying on you to re-read this page.
