What is LiveryYardPro?
An app for running the day-to-day of a livery yard from a phone. It holds every horse your yard looks after, the care notes that matter, what has been done today, the work each horse has had, and the farrier and vet visits you book on the owner’s behalf.
Who is it for?
UK livery yard owners, managers and the grooms who work for them — from a small private yard through to a busy commercial one. It is also used by freelance grooms who look after horses across several yards.
Which devices does it run on?
It is an app for iPhone and Android phones, and it works on iPad and Android tablets too. There is no web version yet — that is on the list.
Does it work when there is no signal?
The yard list and the care notes are cached on the phone, so they are there in a barn with no bars. When what you are seeing is out of date the app tells you when it was last fetched instead of quietly showing yesterday’s information as though it were today’s.
Can my staff use it?
Yes. Each person signs in with their own account and joins your yard with a code, so every entry carries the name of whoever made it.
How does a horse get onto my yard?
You generate a code and send it to the owner. They redeem it in their own app, choose which of their horses to share with you and which areas you may see. It only works that way round — the yard cannot add somebody’s horse to itself.
What if an owner only shares part of a horse’s record?
Anything you were not granted shows as locked rather than empty. That distinction matters: “no allergies recorded” and “you were not given allergies” look identical unless the app makes them different, and only one of those is safe to act on.
Can it handle billing and livery invoices?
Not yet. Billing, stable occupancy, yard tasks, documents and reports are all planned and none of them are in the app today. Everything on the features page is something you can do now.
Does it track how far a horse has been ridden?
For hacking, cross country, competition and hunting, yes — those record a route. Schooling, lunging and anything else in an arena are timed only. A phone cannot tell twenty minutes of circles from GPS drift in a 20×40 school, and an invented distance is worse than a blank one.
Can a horse be at my yard and still be seen by its freelance groom?
Yes. A horse can be shared with more than one business at once, and each sees only what its owner granted it.
Where is my yard’s information kept?
In a managed cloud database, reached over an encrypted connection and backed up automatically. Access is enforced per row: a yard can only read the horses its owners have shared with it, and locked areas return nothing at all.
What does it cost?
Pricing is not set yet. LiveryYardPro is in development and we would rather say nothing than put a number on this page that changes before launch.

Ready to get the yard off the whiteboard?
LiveryYardPro is in development. Put your yard on the early-access list and we will let you know the day it is on the App Store and Google Play.
