Livery yard software

Run the yard.From your phone.

Every horse your yard looks after, every care note that matters and every job logged today — on one screen the whole yard shares, whether that is you in the office or a groom standing in a barn with one bar of signal.

iPhone, Android and tablets • Works offline • Owners choose what you see

Four things, done properly

LiveryYardPro does not try to be your accountant. It does the part of the yard that goes wrong when it lives in a notebook and three WhatsApp groups.

Every horse

The whole yard on one list, searchable by horse, breed or owner — with the care notes on the row, not buried in the record.

Every job, today

Feeds, water, droppings and notes logged as they happen, with the time and the name of whoever did it.

Every session

Hacks, schooling, lunging, in-hand walking — what the horse did and for how long, kept as a record you can show a vet.

Shared, not surrendered

Owners choose which horses the yard sees and what it may see. Nothing is taken; everything is granted.

Nobody sets out to run a yard from a notebook and a group chat

It happens a horse at a time. A feed chart on the tack-room wall, a medication written on the back of an envelope, an owner messaging one groom directly, and the rest held in whoever happens to be on that morning. It works right up until the day it doesn't.

How it usually goes

  • The whiteboard is right, unless somebody rubbed it out
  • “Has he been fed?” is answered by walking to the stable
  • The dust allergy is known by two of the five people on the yard
  • The farrier's next visit is in one person's phone
  • Owners ring at nine at night to ask how the week went
  • The box-rest walking record is a note on the feed board

With LiveryYardPro

  • One timeline of everything logged today, newest first
  • Care notes on the horse's row, where they get read
  • Every entry carries a time and the name of who made it
  • Farrier and vet visits filed with the next date due
  • Owners see their own horse without ringing anyone
  • Sessions logged in minutes — the record a vet asks for

The yard screen

The warning reaches the person carrying the haynet

Care notes sit on the list itself, not two taps inside the horse's record. That is the whole point of them: a note you have to go looking for is a note read after the mistake. “Dust allergy — no dry hay” is on the row, next to the name, before anyone has picked anything up.

Search by horse, breed or owner. Filter by the tags you already use to tell DIY from part from full. And it all reads from a cache, so the list is there in the bottom barn where the signal isn't.

One horse

Two taps to log it, and it is on the yard's timeline

Fed, water, droppings, a note. Each one lands against the right horse with the time and the name of whoever did it, and appears on Today for everyone else on the yard — which is what stops a horse being fed twice on a busy morning.

Anything an owner has not shared with you shows as locked rather than empty. “No medication recorded” and “you were not given medication” look identical unless the app makes them different, and only one of those is safe to act on.

Get the yard set up in an evening

01

Create your yard

Name it, add the address and contact details. That name is what owners see when you ask to be added, so use the one on the gate.

02

Send owners a code

Generate a code from the app and share it however you already talk to your liveries. The owner redeems it in their own app and picks the horses and the areas you get.

03

Log the day

Feeds, water, droppings, notes, sessions and visits, as they happen. Everyone on the yard sees the same timeline, and so does the owner.

Built for the way real yards work

DIY, part, full or a bit of all three on the same set of stables.

DIY livery

Owners do their own horses, but the yard still needs to know what has been done and what has not. Today’s timeline shows both, and the care notes travel with the horse.

Part livery

Log the care you provide and the owner can see it without ringing you at nine at night. What you did, when, and who did it.

Full livery

Every feed, every turnout and every session recorded against the horse, so the owner arrives on Saturday already knowing how the week went.

Competition yards

Sessions are recorded by activity — schooling, jumping, cross country, competition — with the route where there is one worth keeping.

Training and rehab yards

Duration-led sessions and a proper in-hand walking record: the evidence a vet asks for when a horse is coming back from injury.

Mixed yards

Owner tags let you group DIY, part and full liveries on one list and filter to the ones you are dealing with this morning.

What we are working on next

None of the following is in the app today. It is here so you can see where LiveryYardPro is going before you decide whether it suits your yard — not so it can be counted as something you would be paying for.

  • Stables and occupancy — Which horse is in which box, and what is free.
  • Yard tasks and rotas — Jobs assigned to staff, recurring and ticked off.
  • Livery billing — Monthly livery, extras and what is outstanding.
  • Documents — Passports, insurance and livery agreements against the horse.
  • Reports — A month of the yard’s care and work, summarised.
  • Web access — The same yard from a laptop in the office.

Questions we get asked

What is LiveryYardPro?

An app for running the day-to-day of a livery yard from a phone. It holds every horse your yard looks after, the care notes that matter, what has been done today, the work each horse has had, and the farrier and vet visits you book on the owner’s behalf.

Who is it for?

UK livery yard owners, managers and the grooms who work for them — from a small private yard through to a busy commercial one. It is also used by freelance grooms who look after horses across several yards.

Which devices does it run on?

It is an app for iPhone and Android phones, and it works on iPad and Android tablets too. There is no web version yet — that is on the list.

Does it work when there is no signal?

The yard list and the care notes are cached on the phone, so they are there in a barn with no bars. When what you are seeing is out of date the app tells you when it was last fetched instead of quietly showing yesterday’s information as though it were today’s.

Can my staff use it?

Yes. Each person signs in with their own account and joins your yard with a code, so every entry carries the name of whoever made it.

How does a horse get onto my yard?

You generate a code and send it to the owner. They redeem it in their own app, choose which of their horses to share with you and which areas you may see. It only works that way round — the yard cannot add somebody’s horse to itself.

Ready to get the yard off the whiteboard?

LiveryYardPro is in development. Put your yard on the early-access list and we will let you know the day it is on the App Store and Google Play.
